This depends on the number of participants, but on average our parade lasts around 2 hours.
Yes, we welcome all participants to register ahead of our event on Saturday, August 8th. Please see the registration link above.
The parade will begin at South 18th Street, travel east on Main Street through downtown Adel. From there parade will turn left on S 11th Street, proceed with a right on Prairie and continue to S 14th Street, take a left and exit at Greene Street (Hwy 6)
The parade begins at 9:30am.
Floats, music, local groups, walkers, tractors, school groups, fire and police are regular participants. Please keep a safe distance from the street and supervise children during candy distribution.
Please ensure that you have completed registration by Saturday, August 8th. Day of registration will be allowed.
Staging begins at 8:30am.
All entries must be in place by 8:45am.
Please maintain 20 feet between entries.
Vehicles should not stop on the route.
Each entry is limited to one vehicle.
Our goal is to continue to offer a safe and organized experience for everyone involved in this event on Adel's Sweet Corn Festival. This change helps us better communicate with participants and respond quickly in the event of inclement weather (such as last year), a medical emergency, lost child or other safety concern.
