Each year, the Adel Sweet Corn Festival offers approximately 100 arts, crafts and informational booths around the Adel Historic District. Here you can find all kinds of handcrafted items, toys and more. You can also grab a bite to eat or enjoy a cold treat from one of our many food and beverage vendors.

Friday, August 7 starting at 4:30pm, the Shucking of the Corn begins!
Join us at the southside of the Public Safety Building (S 10th St between Main & Prairie) to take part in the fun! Water and beer are provided compliments of Culligan Water Conditioning and Corner Tap while supplies last!

Taking place along the scenic streets of Adel, join us for a beautiful run (or walk) through our wonderful town. Then stick around to enjoy the fun and festivities of the Sweet Corn Festival.
The 2026 5K proceeds will benefit the Adel Chamber Arts & Trails Committee for future projects and trail improvements.

New this year, all Sweet Corn Festival parade participants are required to register in advance. This change helps us better communicate with participants and respond quickly in the event of inclement weather, a medical emergency, lost child, or other safety concern.
Our goal is to create a safer and more organized experience for everyone involved while continuing the fun tradition our community loves. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to another great parade!
